How does culture develop?

It is a strange thing that this happens. With their settlement here the Danish would not allow the Inuits to make their old houses anymore. Sarah and another Danish girl from her school who has been hanging out with us here have said they think it is remarkable that such a small and uninfluential people as the Danish could have reached this almost total control over places as Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Iceland and even Norway for a while. What was their aim, and what is the outcome? The culture in Nuuk is so much more mixed than I imagined before. I see Danish people everywhere among the Inuits but there seems to be some separation. I wonder if any of the Danes living here even look at themselves as Greenlanders.
