About
By the invitation of NAPA – The Nordic Institute in Greenland – and funded by Cirrus, KHiO in Oslo, LHÍ in Reykjavik will run an intensive course in visual communication in Nuuk during the first week of September.
The course will concentrate on the Inuit visual language and cultural development in graphic design. Students are to participate in seminars and research in Nuuk, looking through anthrophological material and develop as a group (not individually) a reflection the visual atmosphere of Greenland. Or at least in Nuuk where we will visit first time.
Course leaders are Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon, professor of graphic design in the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and Halldór Gíslason, professor in design strategy in the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
